A virtual Shareholders’ Meeting
Unusual circumstances require unconventional measures: as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, many German companies will be holding this year’s Shareholders’ Meeting (AGM) as an online-only event.
EnviTec Biogas is following government advice here and will therefore be holding the AGM planned for 7 July as a virtual meeting with no physical attendees. “The most important thing is safeguarding the health of our shareholders and employees,” says Olaf von Lehmden, CEO of biogas all-rounder EnviTec Biogas AG. The online event ensures that shareholders can continue to enjoy the chance to shape company strategy even in these difficult times. The AGM livestream will be by invitation only for company shareholders: information about the stream, details of shareholder rights and the procedure for submitting questions will all be explained to shareholders in the event invitation pack. Von Lehmden describes the decision to hold the AGM as a virtual meeting on the original date as the best compromise between protecting shareholders’ health while upholding their voting rights.
