The primary legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application procedure is article 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in its current version. According to this law, processing of data is permissible if it is necessary in order to justify a hiring decision.
If data is still required after completing the application procedure – for legal reasons, for example – then data processing is permissible based on Art. 6 of the EU GDPR, and particularly for the purpose of upholding legitimate interests pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1) of the GDPR. In such cases, our interests are the assertion of or mounting a defence against claims.

If your application was successful and you have accepted our job offer, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred across into our HR information system.
Is applicant data shared with other data recipients?
After receipt, your applicant data is viewed by our HR department. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the departmental managers responsible for the vacancy in question. The next steps are then discussed and agreed. Within our company, the only people given access to your data are those persons who need this data to ensure our application procedure is completed correctly.
Where is applicant data processed?
All applicant data is processed solely in data centres located in the Federal Republic of Germany.
We have installed video surveillance equipment on our premises and grounds at this site.
Purpose and legal basis of video surveillance
Video surveillance is used to safeguard our property rights, to dissuade persons from conducting activities and to preserve evidence in the event of a crime.
The legal basis for video surveillance is point (f) of Art. 6(1) of the EU GDPR, whereby our interests result from the purposes stated above.
Data recipients/data sharing
If we suspect that criminal activities have taken place, we may pass the data to law enforcement agencies.
Other than this, data is passed on or shared only if there is a legal basis for doing so. One typical case of this kind is if the police or other public safety authorities become involved in a ‘hazard control’ incident and require access to the data from the video surveillance system.
Data processing outside the European Union
Our operation of the video surveillance system does not involve the (external) processing of personal data.
