Lohne, July 28, 2022 - The Management Board of EnviTec Biogas AG (ISIN: DE000A0MVLS8) today again raised its earnings forecast for the current fiscal year 2022 and now earnings before taxes (EBT) at Group level in the range of EUR 45 to 50 million. Previously, EnviTec's management had assumed EBT in the range of 35 to 40 million euros. The reason for the increase in the earnings forecast is the ongoing rise in electricity and gas prices, which are expected to result in significantly higher earnings in the Own Plant Operation segment. In addition, the higher quota prices for the use of low-emission fuels such as bio-LNG in the transport sector for medium and heavy trucks will have a positive impact on the annual result.

However, the current crisis due to the war in Ukraine with continuing price increases and supply chain problems continues to represent a risk factor, particularly in the Plant Construction Segment.

Excellent heat utilisation, flexible operation and an input from wild plants - these are the three ingredients of success of the biogas plant of Saergas GmbH & Co. KG in the Saerbeck Bioenergy Park. The plant, built by EnviTec Biogas in 2011, has just been awarded the title of "Plant of the Month March" by the Renewable Energies Association of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the German Biogas Association. One of the criteria for this title is a particularly sustainable plant concept, which is to serve as a blueprint for new plants.

"We are proud that our plant has received such attention even after twelve years in operation," says Christian Eilert, EnviTec Sales Manager Germany. The plant is operated by Saergas GmbH & Co. KG, a company with 16 farmers, EnviTec Biogas and Maschinenring Steinfurt-Bentheim. It is part of the Saerbeck Bioenergy Park, which has won several awards. The plant is characterised above all by its flexibility - the plant runs daily only when there is a high demand for electricity.

This includes the planning and turnkey linking of enabled and greasing as well as highlighting its commissioning.
Biomethane is therefore an important building block of the energy transition.
